How Usage and Capacity Work
Jena4 measures the activity and active resources your organization uses, so owners can see the current boundary before a critical action depends on unavailable capacity.
As governed work grows
Growth should not turn into a surprise interruption.
Imagine a release organization adding more governed decisions, more operating contexts, and more connected notifications over time. The team also evaluates those decisions more often as approvals, controls, and supporting information change. Without one organization-wide view, owners may not realize that a new decision or evaluation has reached its current capacity boundary until the action pauses.
What Jena4 measures
Usage reflects the governed work the organization is asking Jena4 to maintain.
- Governed decisions
The conclusions the organization has asked Jena4 to maintain.
- Evaluations
The times Jena4 has reconsidered those decisions as relevant conditions are checked or changed.
- Workspaces
The operating contexts the organization currently uses to separate its governed work.
- Active notifications
The configured destinations currently available to receive selected decision changes.
One organization-wide view
Owners can review current usage and limits inside Jena4.
The Usage view brings these measurements together across the organization instead of requiring owners to inspect each workspace separately. It shows what is currently being used and the boundary that applies to each measurement.
How the measurements change
Evaluation capacity renews monthly. Other measurements follow what is currently active.
The monthly evaluation count begins again when the next UTC calendar month starts.
Governed decisions, workspaces, and active notifications reflect what the organization is using now.
When capacity is reached
The affected new action pauses until capacity becomes available.
Jena4 does not quietly exceed the recorded boundary. If the organization reaches a limit for a governed decision, evaluation, workspace, or active notification, the corresponding action cannot proceed until capacity is available again. The person or connected system can then retry that action.
The practical purpose
Capacity is a visible operating boundary—not a hidden failure.
Owners can review usage before a rollout or connected workflow depends on additional capacity. Ask Jenny explains how the measurements behave; the current Usage view remains the source for the organization’s live counts and limits.
